ABOUT US

Garden and bird bath reflection

Kariong Eco Garden is a community garden where we care for the earth by providing habitat for wildlife, harvesting rainwater, using renewable energy, recycling organic matter, and growing food, naturally.

We are a regional education centre for sustainable living.

Drop by the Eco Garden, visitors and new volunteers are always welcome. We work in the garden 10am – 1pm weekly on Mondays and 2nd Saturdays each month.

Become an active member for $5/year and you get a special member price at our ticketed events. Members are encouraged to take part in monthly management meetings to make decisions about the garden.

Supporter membership is $20 and earns you half price for four ticketed events each year. Sponsors of $100 or more can have a small plaque on a post in the garden.

The Repair Cafe is back on the 3rd Sunday from February to November! 10am – 1pm in Kariong Hall. Bring your items to be fixed, make a donation or volunteer to join the team. There is a swap table too – so bring an item or two you would be happy to swap.  If your item doesn’t find a new home then you need to take it home with you again.

Kariong Eco Garden can be booked for events, workshops, fairy parties…. email kariongecogarden@gmail.com or call Lisa on 0429 431 889 to find out more.
Kariong Progress Association Hall can be booked via kariongpa@gmail.com.

Troubadours also host monthly Folk music sessions on the 1st Sunday each month from 2pm, with entry by $3 donation. More info call Hugh on 0402 529 474.

We are also a registered Charity and a Centrelink approved Volunteer Work Provider. Volunteers can help with gardening, event management and media.
